Terbentuknya Lembaga Keuangan Mikro Syariah Dalam Rangka Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Miskin Di Kabupaten Kediri

Abstract

2014 is a dark year for the people of Kediri district, especially Laharpang hamlet because there has been a natural disaster of the eruption of Mount Kelud. The impact received by the community from the incident is the economic problem. Kelompok Swadaya Masyarakat (KSM) is a community empowerment program formed by the Al-Azhar National Amil Zakat Institution in assisting the people of Laharpang hamlet to revive the community's economy. The group lacked financial support so that its business was only limited to a joint business program, not yet an official Sharia microfinance institution. Therefore, the establishment of Sharia microfinance institutions such as Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) plays a very active role as a cooperative KSM Lamor Kelud Sejahtera. The institution's service and mentoring methods are carried out by an indept interview and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) approach. The result of this assistance is the formation of a Koperasi Serba Usaha (KSU) which aims to improve the welfare of the people of Laharpang hamlet in developing their business. The importance of this cooperative is expected to support and encourage community activities and become investors or financing customers, as well as participate in activities held by cooperatives.
